Bumblebee; Our Caravan Renovation Resources Guide

March 9th, 2021 | By Carlene ...

Our sunshine in a van; our fresh spring air; our beloved Bumblebee. A joy to look at and even more to be in, we still get as many interior requests and questions regarding her as the day we completed her. Inspired by her sunny yellow interior, we keep things fresh with a neutral palette injecting vintage florals to pay homage to the vans heritage. With rattan and oak cabinetry throughout and little antique treasures, Bumblebee feels like the retro home you’ve always yearned.

Needing some more hints and tips on how to create your own BB? Watch here as we give you some space saving tips for for your own caravan living!

Carlene I just think you’re the greatest!! The amount of screenshots I’ve taken from everything you’ve done work wise to the colour and cut of your hair is slightly embarrassing 😳 haha I just adore your style and love your approach to your spaces from the classic, the on-tread to the original. It just all comes together so beautifully. I know you’ve outgrown it but gosh I’d just love to see you on The Block again!! Okay… so to the purpose of my comment 🤣… can you post the name of the Etsy store where you bought that cute art?? I’d love to know your tip for finding pieces on Etsy without getting lost for days!! Also, dont think I’ve seen you use before but I think you would love the linen, cushions and prints/art tea towels from Castle and Things. I’ve just spent a mortgage payment on some of her work and the difference the cushions make to my previously beige lounge room makes me happy each day!! Well much more than a mortgage payment does anyway. Thanks for all the inspiration, Katie 🌸

That’s great! Do you mean the ceiling? It’s pressed masonite.

Love the transformation! Could you please tell me what material is used on the interior ceiling?

It’s actually part of the original van. Pressed masonite we believe.

Amazing caravan, what sheen is the paint job on exterior and interior. We’re wanting to replicate this on our burnt orange 70’s number 😂

Thank you – it was professionally painted by an auto painter, actually so we didn’t specify a sheen. Gloss is the hardiest, though.
