I can sympathise a little with those of you in the process of choosing your flooring for your new build or renovation. This can be a big and tough decision to make. However, this is one design choice I was surprisingly very decisive with. I knew I wanted dark, engineered, hardwood flooring. Even though I KNOW the white scuff marks on the dark colour are going to drive me bonkers, the warmth and elegance of a dark timber floor was just too much to resist. We were also very decided on using engineered floor as opposed to a milled timber because we don’t want to the maintenance (milled timber is subject to climatic changes) that can come with the latter.
